UAE and Egypt to build one of the world's largest wind farms.

President His Highness ruler Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan associated President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt witnessed the language of an agreement between Masdar, one among the world’s fastest-growing renewable energy companies, in conjunction with its eternity Power venture with Infinity, Egypt’s main renewable energy developer, and Hassan Allam Utilities, to develop a 10-gigawatt (GW) onshore wind project in Egypt – one of the most important wind farms within the world.

The memoranda of Understanding was signed Dr. swayer Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of trade and Advanced Technology, UAE Special Envoy for Climate, and Chairman of Masdar, and district Meshaly, president of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), on the sidelines of the 2022 world organisation temperature change Conference (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh.

H.H. ruler Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court; H.H. ruler Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; H.H. ruler Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; ruler Mahomet bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, consultant for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court, in conjunction with variety of senior officers were additionally gift throughout the signing.

Dr. Al Jaber said, “The scale of this mega ten GW onshore wind project – one among the most important winds farms within the world – may be a testament to the renewable energy ambitions of the United Arab Emirates and also the Republic of Egypt, and demonstrates Masdar’s standing as a world leader in clean energy.

“Under the steering of our leadership, the UAE has been at the forefront of positive climate action in the region – and globally, as mirrored in the recent US-UAE Partnership for fast Clean Energy (PACE). The UAE and Masdar can continue to support Egypt’s net-zero goals, and that we can endeavor to require forward the gains created here at COP27, because the UAE prepares to host COP28 next year.”
