UAE PILOT BEGINS 45-DAY NASA MARS PROJECT

Image
An Emirati pilot selected for NASA's mission to artificial Mars is set to begin his mission in Houston, Texas. Sharif al-Ramithi and crew members will live and work in isolation inside a special habitat for 45 days for the project, which will simulate a trip to the Red Planet. In April, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center announced the selection of Al Ramithi for the second analog study of the UAE's analog program, as part of NASA's research mission. The project is designed to help scientists study how crew members adapt to difficult conditions before they embark on deep space missions. The team will spend time in the confined space environment to see what the impact of the isolation is on organ functions. The UAE is taking part in four phases of the research, each of which lasts for 45 days.

New Mars Map Reveals Stunning Geological Features and Answers to Pressing Questions

Image
A recently published high-resolution map of Mars has provided scientists with new insights into the planet's geological history, as well as clues to the mystery of its dry and barren landscape. The map, which was created using data collected by NASA 's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, has revealed a wealth of fascinating geological features in stunning detail. One of the most intriguing questions that the map could help scientists answer is how Mars, which was once abundant with liquid water, became the dry, arid, and barren landscape that we see today. According to the map, there are signs of ancient lakes, rivers, and even a massive ocean that once covered a significant portion of the planet's surface. So what happened to all that water? One theory is that the water was lost to space over time as the planet's atmosphere thinned out. Another possibility is that the water was absorbed into the planet's surface rocks and minerals, where it remains locked away to this day...
