CAIRO - The Council of the Arab League has strongly denounced Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, demanding an immediate end to the attacks.  In an emergency meeting held in Cairo on Wednesday, the Council of Arab Permanent Representatives to the Arab League expressed grave concern over the ongoing Israeli military escalation along Lebanon's southern border.  Reports indicate the Israeli air force conducted multiple strikes on open fields in southern Lebanon on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, resulting in fires but no casualties.
