Defense Minister Heads to UAE for Important Talks
Greece's Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dandia, will leave the sunny shores of Athens for a trip abroad this weekend. Its destination? United Arab Emirates. Dandias will spend two full days meeting with key UAE government officials to discuss further strengthening of ties between the two countries. For starters, Dendias has a sit-down scheduled with Mohammed bin Mubarak Fadel Al Mazroue, Minister of State for Defense Affairs. You can bet this meeting will be all about exploring new avenues for cooperation on defense and security issues. As strategic partners, Greece and the UAE have been working more closely together in recent years on important projects in these areas. In addition to chatting with Al Mazroue, Dendias will also connect with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs.
