UAE Government Launches Net Zero 2050 Charter to Combat Climate Change
The U nited Arab Emirates (UAE) Government has recently announced its Net Zero 2050 Charter, which aims to support the objectives of the National Net Zero by 2050. This announcement was made during the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27), where the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and the local governments of the seven emirates pledged to work together to mitigate the effects of climate change on the environment, biodiversity, biosecurity, and public health. Through the charter, the UAE Government aims to cooperate effectively in implementing and monitoring initiatives and measures to achieve the National Net Zero by 2050 and the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) Report.
