Looks like Styrofoam cups, plates and takeout containers are getting the boot in Abu Dhabi. The Environment Agency and Department of Economic Development just announced that all single-use Styrofoam will be banned starting June 1st.  Anything meant for drinks, food or just one-time use like cups, lids, plates and to-go containers made of Styrofoam are on the blacklist. Some things like reusable storage boxes and coolers made of it can stick around though.  This expands on Abu Dhabi's single-use plastic policy from a couple years ago. That led to plastic bags being 86'd from stores last summer, which supposedly caused usage to drop almost 95%! Pretty impressive.
