The Eid season is always one filled with celebration family gatherings and festivities across the UAE. But for some Emirati families the high costs of housing can cast a shadow during this otherwise joyous time.  To help alleviate these stresses and ensure citizens can fully enjoy Eid, the UAE Cabinet recently approved a new AED 1.68 billion housing support package. Over 2,160 Emiratis will receive assistance through the respected Sheikh Zayed Housing Program.  The program has aided countless families over the decades in gaining access to affordable long-term housing. The United Arab Emirates, in partnership with American Near East Refugee Aid, announced on Sunday that it had delivered 400 tons of food aid to Gaza. The delivery, mainly to the northern areas of the enclave, is enough to feed about 120,000 people, the Emirates News Agency reported.
