UAE’s Mediation Facilitates Exchange of 300 Captives Between Russia and Ukraine

 In a remarkable demonstration of diplomacy and humanitarian commitment, the UAE has successfully mediated a new exchange of war captives between Russia and Ukraine. The latest exchange involved the release of 150 captives from each side, bringing the total number of captives exchanged through UAE mediation to an impressive 2,484 individuals.



A Decade of Mediation Success

This latest exchange marks the UAE’s tenth successful mediation effort since the beginning of 2024, highlighting the nation’s consistent role as a trusted intermediary in international conflicts. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed gratitude to Russia and Ukraine for their cooperation, which underscores their recognition of the UAE’s reliability as a mediator.

The UAE’s involvement reflects its dedication to promoting diplomatic and peaceful resolutions to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
