UAE and Egypt Conduct 34th Aid Operation to Gaza

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Egypt have successfully completed their 34th joint humanitarian air drop operation to deliver urgent food and medical relief to vulnerable communities in the northern Gaza Strip. According to officials, the mission took place earlier this week and involved the deployment of two C-17 aircraft from the UAE Air Force and two C-295 aircraft from the Egyptian Air Force.

Over 82 tonnes of aid supplies, including food items, infant formula and critical medical equipment, were dropped across isolated areas of northern Gaza that have limited land access. This brings the total amount of assistance delivered through these regular "Birds of Goodness" operations to over 2,189 tonnes since they began earlier this year. The latest efforts form part of the ongoing UAE-led Operation "Chivalrous Knight III" to support Palestinians impacted by delays in humanitarian deliveries.

Officials from the UAE Ministry of Defense stated that despite ongoing political challenges, both countries remain firmly committed to fulfilling basic humanitarian needs for Gaza's population. Since the start of its relief program in the Palestinian territories over a decade ago, the UAE has now donated in excess of 2,559 tonnes of aid, including past shipments through Kerem Shalom border crossing as well as air drops.

The strong cooperation between the Emirati and Egyptian militaries enables the efficient delivery of aid to communities most in need. As global crises strain resources, observers commend the selfless contributions and coordination that ensure vulnerable groups do not suffer further hardship. As the humanitarian situation in Gaza persists, the UAE and Egypt pledge ongoing cooperation to alleviate civilian suffering with life-saving assistance.
