Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, President of COP28, Considers the UAE's Historic Climate Achievements

Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and President of COP28, expressed great pride in the UAE's crucial role in attaining historic outcomes at the 28th UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) in an exclusive interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Dr. Al Jaber commended President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, as well as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for their visionary leadership and steadfast support. He said that their leadership was crucial in guiding COP28 toward historically high levels of climate action. 

The President of COP28 emphasized the significant contributions made by prominent individuals, such as Her Highness Sheikha Maryam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Education and Human Resources Council, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Their assistance was crucial to COP28's success, especially with organizing and supervising the planning process. 

Also his appreciation for the outstanding efforts of the conference's media committee, which was headed by H.H. The National Media Office's chairman is Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. A model for sustainable socioeconomic development, the media committee was instrumental in displaying the UAE's superiority in economic development, diversification, and future planning. 

In this, Dr. Al Jaber emphasized the significance of aiding poor nations in putting into practice transparent, overseen, and closely watched climate policies. The UAE was positioned as a leader in international climate action because to the inclusive strategy of COP28, which involved a wide variety of stakeholders, ensured meaningful involvement, and produced historic results.
With over 1,300 CEOs and philanthropists in attendance, the COP28 Business and Climate Philanthropy Forum highlighted significant initiatives and the cooperative efforts that are advancing climate solutions. The observations of Dr. Sultan Al Jaber highlight the importance of COP28 in establishing a sustainable future for future generations.
