UAE Students Racing Towards a Greener Future

Each participating school supplies pupils with electric car building kits. This hands-on experience provides unique insights into renewable energy technology, engineering principles, and electric vehicle mechanics. The Formula 24 category race final, designed for 11 to 16-year-olds, is scheduled for March 2024.

According to Ryan Trutch, CEO of Pole Position, "our aim is to create additional pathways for young people to pursue careers in engineering and various scientific fields, enabling them to have a more significant impact on society." The project exemplifies the UAE's commitment to building a sustainable future and harnessing the energy of its youth to lead the way.

The Greenpower initiative, administered by Pole Position in collaboration with Gems Education and the Greenpower Education Trust, brings over two decades of project management experience. Every year, over 10,000 students from around the world take part, sharpening their talents for jobs in motorsports, engineering, and team administration. This project not only provides students with hands-on experience, but it also instills a sense of responsibility in the fight against climate change. It demonstrates how innovative education may play a critical role in creating a greener, more sustainable future.
