The political determination of regional groupings to move beyond bilateral relations and create a stronger strategic alignment between regions has been highlighted by the recent summit, which brought together important players. In addition to creating more strategic room for new alliances among member states, this transformative strategy also fosters cooperation between the GCC and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The summit resulted in the adoption of a new five-year Framework of Cooperation for the years 2024-2028, which is a significant and ground-breaking development. This framework represents a shift in cooperation to a new degree that goes beyond customary religious and commercial interactions. It covers a broad range of realistic areas of collaboration, including combating violent extremism and terrorism, ensuring food security, using renewable energy sources, preparing for climate change,

The last summit's agreements, the approval of the five-year Framework of Cooperation, and the pursuit of regional-to-regional strategic alignment are all evidence of the UAE's commitment to the stability, development, and prosperity of the Gulf and ASEAN areas.
