Boosting Bilateral Relations: Sri Lanka's Ambassador to UAE Meets with Foreign Minister

Sri Lanka's Ambassador to the UAE, Indramalee Kodithuwakku Indrarathna, met with the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, last week in Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance the already strong and friendly relations between the two nations.

Ambassador Indrarathna acknowledged the more than 300,000 Sri Lankans who work and reside in the UAE, highlighting the peaceful and harmonious environment provided by the UAE's friendly people. She also noted that the UAE stands among the best and happiest countries for Sri Lankans to live and work.

The discussions were mainly focused on avenues to further enhance the friendly relations between Sri Lanka and the UAE and to increase bilateral trade. Minister Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his willingness to assist Sri Lanka in various fields, including the development of energy and tourism sectors of Sri Lanka.
