World Government Summit 2023: Shaping Future Governments through Global Collaboration

The World Government Summit (WGS) 2023 will bring together leaders and experts from around the world to discuss pressing issues and seek solutions to guide global policies. The three-day summit, which begins today in Dubai, will explore opportunities and challenges of shaping future governments.

More than 20 presidents, 250 ministers, and over 10,000 businessmen, government officials, thought leaders, and global experts will participate in more than 220 panel discussions. The summit will be inaugurated by Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Government Summit (WGS) Organization.

The UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed participants to the summit on Sunday. They emphasized the UAE’s influential contribution to finding solutions to future challenges that meet the aspirations of future generations and benefit the world.

The summit will witness the participation of presidents, including Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, Macky Sall of Senegal and Chairperson of the African Union, and Mario Abdo Benitez of Paraguay.

Several sessions will feature leaders from different countries. Prithvirajsing Roopun, President of Mauritius, will give a speech, while Wavel Ramkalawan, President of Seychelles, will discuss the impact of climate change. Joko Widodo, President of Indonesia, will deliver a speech addressing the Indonesian experience in government excellence and recent measures implemented to develop institutional performance.

The summit will also witness the participation of Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, and Najla Bouden, Prime Minister of Tunisia, who will participate in several sessions.

Overall, WGS provides an opportunity for global leaders and experts to discuss critical issues and work towards creative solutions that guide future policies. The summit highlights the UAE’s commitment to being a platform for constructive interaction with global development issues and finding innovative solutions that benefit the world.
