UAE humanitarian spirit by launching the "Bridges of Good"

The recent massive quake that struck Turkey and Syria has caused widespread destruction and displacement of people. In times of crisis, it's heartening to see the world come together to support those in need. The UAE is once again showing its humanitarian spirit by launching the "Bridges of Good" campaign to assist in gathering and assembling relief supplies for the affected people.

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) Authority has taken the lead in this initiative, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) and the Ministry of Community Development. This collaboration is a testament to the UAE's commitment to providing immediate and effective aid to those in need. The campaign is calling on all facets of the UAE society to support this voluntary effort to gather and mobilise humanitarian relief supplies in solidarity with the affected Syrian and Turkish families.

Starting on February 11th, the ERC and its partner organizations will be packaging the initial aid at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and the Dubai Exhibition Centre, at Expo City Dubai. From February 12, they will directly collect donations in cash and in kind over the course of two weeks. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to do their part and contribute to the humanitarian effort.

It's encouraging to see the UAE's continued efforts to support those in need, both at home and abroad. The Bridges of Good campaign is a call to action for all of us to make a difference and show our support. Whether you're able to donate money, supplies, or your time, every little bit helps. Those interested in contributing can register via volunteers.ae.

In conclusion, the UAE's Bridges of Good campaign is a shining example of how we can come together in times of crisis and make a real difference in people's lives. Let's all do our part to support those affected by the quake in Turkey and Syria.
