Historic moment of Emirates Airline

  On Monday   Emirates successfully flew a Boeing 777 on a test flight with one engine entirely powered by so-called sustainable aviation fuel. This comes as carriers worldwide try to lessen their carbon footprint. Flight No. EK2646 flew for just under an hour over the coastline of the United Arab Emirates, after taking off from Dubai International Airport, the world's busiest for international travel, and heading out into the Persian Gulf before circling back to land. The fuel powered one of Boeing's two General Electric Co. Engines, with the other running on conventional jet fuel for safety.   Lastly this flight is a milestone moment for Emirates and a positive step for our industry as we work collectively  to address one of our biggest challenges of reducing our carbon footprint

DIFC Metaverse Platform’ to attract technology innovators

    To accelerate Dubai’s status as a global metaverse leader  Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) announced the launch of the ‘DIFC Metaverse Platform,’ in line with the Dubai Higher Committee for Future Technology and Digital Economy’s aim to attract technology innovators from around the world.  Additionally     DIFC Metaverse Platform is aligned with the Dubai Metaverse Strategy, which aims to add $4 billion to Dubai's GDP, support 40,000 virtual jobs by 2030 and attract 1,000 companies specialized in blockchain and Metaverse technologies.  The program also aims to facilitate partnerships between start-ups and corporates to create proofs-of-concept and new Metaverse solutions.  Over all   Metaverse Accelerator Program will run over a period of six months, during which the cohort of start-ups will be introduced to training and workshops to upskill and reskill themselves in both technical and intrapersonal aspects of the metaverse. Wam delegation visits media organisations in Ecuador

    This  year  an example of beautiful cooperation start  as   WAM delegation, led by Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director-General of WAM, made to the cities of Quito and Guayaquil in Ecuador, to review the outcomes of the inaugural the Global Media Congress held in Abu Dhabi in November 2022  discussed the prospects for media cooperation between the entities of the two countries, and the participation of Ecuadorian media organisations in the 28th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which the UAE is set to host later this year. Zambia $2 BILLION SOLAR AGREEMENT WITH UAE

  WITH plans to become a clean-energy powerhouse that will place the UAE at the forefront of the energy transition  In which     Zambian-owned power utility company ZESCO has signed an agreement with the United Arab Emirates’ company Masdar to develop solar projects worth $2 billion.  MoU and JDA will see ZESCO partner with Masdar, a major investment funding entity of the UAE , to form a joint venture in developing and deploying large-scale solar projects throughout the country, with an estimated cost of $2 billion. In a statement, the President of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, said that this is not a loan but a capital injection or investment in which the Zambian people, through ZESCO, will be partners in shareholding. The projects will be implemented in a phased manner, starting with the installation of 500 megawatts.
