BRICS+ countries to provide media coverage for Moscow's innovative passenger transport experience

Moscow's urban passenger transport projects will receive information support in the BRICS+ media space. At the exhibition "Moscow Transport 2030" within the framework of the forum-festival Territory of the Future. The cooperation agreement was signed by Nikolay Asaul, Director-General of the State Unitary Enterprise (Mosgortrans), and Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS.

According to TV BRICS, the partners' interaction will be aimed at strengthening cooperation between Moscow and other capitals and cities of BRICS+ countries in the development of infrastructure projects and technological improvement of urban passenger transport.

Asaul said, “Mosgortrans is the largest operator of ground urban transport in Russia. The company is actively implementing new technologies to improve the quality of passenger service. Since 2018, a large-scale project has been implemented: scheduled replacement of buses with electric buses. Innovative transport carries passengers on about 140 routes in different parts of the city. For us, cooperation with organisations at the international level is an opportunity to announce our global projects, as well as to share valuable experience in the field of passenger transport development. I am sure that the agreement will contribute to improving the image of our company and strengthening ties with partners.”

Mosgortrans operates more than 700 routes in Moscow with a total length of more than 10 thousand kilometres. They are used by about 3 million passengers daily. The structure of the company includes 17 branches, including five bus fleets and other services that ensure the operation of ground transport. Uninterrupted service, comfort on the road and continuous improvement of transport quality are ensured by about 23,000 employees. Mosgortrans is an active member of Russian and international public transport unions and associations.

Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, emphasised that the expansion of international cooperation in the field of transport is one of the priorities of the Russian Federation's chairmanship in the BRICS association in 2024.
