UAE Sets New Landmark with Tallest Sign Record | New Guinness World Record with ‘Liwa’ sign

The United Arab Emirates can now lay claim to hosting the world's tallest landmark sign after the Guinness World Records officially recognized the Liwa sign in Abu Dhabi. Standing an impressive 23.5 meters tall the massive 49-tonne metal structure towers over its predecessors in Hollywood and Dubai.

Installed in the Al Dhafra region by the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport the Liwa sign is situated 197 meters above sea level on a prominent hill, making it visually striking from kilometers away. Its size and elevation ensure it dominates the landscape and enhances tourism efforts for the surrounding rural Liwa area.

Home to key cultural festivals each year, Liwa aims to spotlight its heritage and dates industry. The record-breaking sign now adds an extra element of awe and wonder to help put the region on the global map as a must-visit travel destination. Yet another achievement cementing the UAE's reputation as pioneers constantly reaching for new heights.
