UAE ADNOC Group Promotes Innovation and Youth Participation in Climate Action

The ADNOC Group is harnessing innovation and youth participation to advance meaningful climate action. As one of the largest energy producers in the UAE, ADNOC recognizes the urgent need to transition to more sustainable practices that protect the environment for future generations.


Through partnerships with leading universities in the UAE and overseas, ADNOC is supporting research and development of emerging clean technologies like carbon capture and storage. The group is also sponsoring hackathons, startup accelerators and science fairs to engage youth and crowd-source bold ideas on reducing emissions.

Speaking at the recent UN Climate Summit, the CEO of ADNOC said:

In 1996, the country ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which affirms all children's basic human rights, including the right to life, survival, development, education, and protection from abuse and exploitation.
