UAE and Czech Republic Pledge Closer Cooperation

 The United Arab Emirates and the Czech Republic have pledged to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors, according to senior officials from both countries.




In a meeting in Prague, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with his Czech counterpart Jan Lipavský.

The two ministers discussed avenues for enhancing the economic, trade and investment relationship between the UAE and Czech Republic. They explored opportunities for collaboration in key industries such as energy, infrastructure, technology and agriculture.

According to a statement from the UAE foreign ministry, Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the importance the UAE places on boosting ties with the Czech Republic. He praised the continuous development of joint cooperation.

Both sides agreed to facilitate business ties and encourage more trade and investment flows between Emirati and Czech companies. They signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a bilateral committee tasked with following up on cooperation initiatives.

In addition to economic matters, Sheikh Abdullah and Lipavský exchanged views on regional developments in the Middle East. They touched on the recent conflict and humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

The ministers underscored the need for consolidated international efforts to secure a sustainable ceasefire and protect civilian lives. They also stressed the urgency of intensifying humanitarian support for Palestinians in Gaza.

The meeting affirmed the UAE and Czech Republic’s commitment to strengthening global cooperation to combat extremism and violence, and achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.

Overall, the talks confirmed both countries’ aspiration to develop partnership across multiple fronts and address shared challenges through collaborative diplomacy. Strengthening bilateral ties is expected to yield mutual benefits for Emiratis and Czechs.
