A noteworthy advancement has occurred when representatives from the Ministries of Industry and Trade (MoIT) in Vietnam and the Ministry of Economy in the United Arab Emirates pledged to quicken the process of negotiating a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between their countries. Enhancing economic and trade relations was discussed during the well-received visit of Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Trade, to Hà Nội.

Việt Nam and the UAE have strong commercial and trade relations, which Minister Nguyễn Hồng Diên of the Ministry of Information and Technology praised. Notably, both countries have been expanding their collaboration in a number of areas, with a particular emphasis on the continuing discussions for the CEPA between Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates.

Officials acknowledged the efforts made by the negotiation delegations from both nations and had a productive discussion to resolve differing viewpoints. Minister Diên pleaded with the United Arab Emirates to arrange business delegation exchanges, plan trade promotion events, and entice United Arab Emirates companies to invest in Vietnam in areas of shared interest.

In order to speed up and conclude the Việt Nam-UAE CEPA negotiations in a timely manner, the parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to stepping up their collaboration.
