Specialized Emirati Companies Sign Three Strategic Projects in Hadhramout Governorate, Boosting Yemen's Energy Sector

Hadhramout Governorate

The recent signing of three strategic projects in the electricity, oil, and gas sectors in Hadhramout governorate by specialized Emirati companies is a significant development in Yemen's development journey. With the presence of the Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights, Ahmed Arman, and the Governor of Hadramout, Mabkhout, Mubarak bin Madi, the signing of the projects represents a much-needed boost for the energy sector in the region.

The projects, which include the construction of a gas-fired power station with a capacity of 150 megabytes, a crude oil refinery with a capacity of 25 thousand barrels per day, and a domestic gas unit in the Messila area, will help to improve the electricity service in the governorate and meet the needs of Hadhramout and neighboring regions for domestic gas.

The role of the United Arab Emirates in supporting various development sectors and relief efforts in the liberated Yemeni governorates cannot be overstated. With this latest investment, the UAE continues to demonstrate its commitment to the development of Yemen, and its willingness to support the country through the challenges it faces.

These projects will not only bring economic benefits to the region but will also provide much-needed infrastructure, which is crucial to the development of other sectors in the governorate. The construction of a crude oil refinery and tanks will help to reduce the country's reliance on imported oil, while the domestic gas unit will contribute to the country's self-sufficiency in energy.

It is essential that the government of Yemen continues to attract foreign investment to the country, and the UAE's support in this regard is commendable.
