UAE affirmed that it attaches great importance to the promotion and protection of human rights at the national level, deriving this from its cultural heritage, constitution and legislative system, which promote principles of equality, respect for rights, and support for humanitarian and relief work, in line with the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Federal Law №12 of 2021 regarding the “National Human Rights Authority” is one of the most important laws concerned with strengthening the system of national human rights mechanisms in the country, where the authority is distinguished from other government mechanisms as a body that enjoys financial independence. and administrative in the exercise of its tasks, activities and competencies in the field of human rights, and based its work on the Paris Principles for National Human Rights Institutions, and perhaps one of the most important competencies of the participation of the competent authorities in developing a national action plan for the protection of human rights in the state, proposing a mechanism for its implementation, and working to spread a culture of human rights and raise awareness Community members, including holding seminars, conferences and discussion panels related to human rights, and submitting proposals and recommendations to the competent authorities.
