Culture Summit Abu Dhabi 2022 to host over 180 cultural leaders

A global cultural forum will welcome more than 180 cultural leaders from around the world to Manarat Al Saadiyat on October 23-25. Themed "A Living Culture", the global event aims to explore the future of the cultural sector and discuss creative solutions to some of the most pressing issues affecting the world today. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism  (DCT Abu Dhabi), the Abu Dhabi Cultural Summit will  explore what it means to embrace culture as a lived experience through a program that brings together artists, practitioners, scholars, educators and creative professionals united. Keynote speakers include world-renowned comedian and TV presenter Trevor Noah, State Prize-winning architect  - Dalia GrybauskaitÄ—, President of Lithuania (2009-2019); IvoJosipović, President of Croatia (2010–2015) and Joyce Banda, President of Malawi (2012–2014), Noura bint 

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi said: “The Abu Dhabi Culture Summit is a forum for knowledge sharing, debate and policy development, connecting visionaries, thinkers and our own rising stars to a global audience , ranging from youth to decision-makers. Living culture is about shaping a sustainable and inclusive future that enriches life, advances society and fosters growth, and we are proud that Abu Dhabi has 

 long-term, diverse creative collaborations with  partners and Summit participants from across our emirate and around the world Each day the program will explore a sub-theme. On the first day, Living Cultural Ecosystems takes a sectoral perspective, looking at the emergence of dynamic or living cultural and creative ecosystems that are more adaptable, resilient and responsive to change.

On the second day, Living in Culture will examine how culture affects people and communities through the lens of changing patterns of cultural participation. Finally, Culture, Diversity, Power focuses on critical challenges and strategies related to threats to diversity and protecting and promoting the diversity of cultural expressions in a sustainable way. The Summit program also features an outstanding array of keynotes, panel discussions, artist talks, workshops, 

 film  screenings, creative talks and cultural performances. Shows include a dance performance by hip-hop choreographer Kader Attou and a musical performance by renowned lute player and composer Naseer Shamma.
